Who We Are

Community support for those who serve Longview.

The Longview Police Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization created to build philanthropic and community support for initiatives that enhance public safety and support the Longview Police Department.

The Foundation brings together residents, businesses, community leaders, and charitable partners who share a commitment to a safe, strong, and thriving Longview.

Our role is to help connect private generosity with worthwhile opportunities that can enhance officer resources, professional development, wellness, community engagement, innovation, and other mission-aligned initiatives.

OUR MISSION

To strengthen public safety and community partnership by providing philanthropic support, resources, and opportunities that enhance the service of the Longview Police Department and benefit the Longview community.

OUR VISION

A safer, stronger Longview where law enforcement and the community work together to support those who serve and improve the quality of life for all.

WHY A POLICE FOUNDATION?

Public agencies must balance many important priorities within the resources available to them.

A police foundation creates another avenue for community members, businesses, foundations, and philanthropic partners to support worthwhile initiatives that can enhance public safety.

Private charitable support may create opportunities for specialized equipment, innovative technology, professional training, officer wellness, community engagement, and other programs that extend beyond traditional public funding.

The Foundation does not replace municipal funding. It seeks to complement it by connecting community generosity with opportunities to make a positive difference.
